With the projects we have realized in the past years many improvements could be achieved, but still there are many needs in the communities we work with. Therefore we are always making efforts to extend our area of operations and develop new project adjusted to the essential necessities of the people.
Most of our projects are designed to be ongoing. Especially our support in the schools is continues thus we have established a long term relationship with teachers, students and their families. Other projects have started out on a small scale and proved to be very successful and consequently we plan their extension in magnitude as well as in quantity. Namely the “chicken project” in Kimuka and the dip-irrigation project on cash crops.
Besides the already effectively running project with the objective of enhancement, we plan to implement new projects too. Currently, we plan to reward scholarships to the most talented students that completed Secondary School to enable them to study at College. Furthermore, we aim a cooperation with the organization “simoo” that is commissioned to rebuild a broken dam in Maasailand. The impounding reservoir used to supply the predominately arid area with water.
In Olmaroroi Twin Pre School we are preparing to enforce a food program for the children aged 3 to 6. Beyond that, our work is targeting to enhance sustainable development and therefore we are consistently seeking innovation and options to improve education and new efficient ways of generating income for the Maasai community.
